Sunshine vs Snow Storm?

There's a blizzard coming towards NYC. It's ready to drop inches upon inches of white powdery snow.... I'd like to be in the Bahamas right now... right there in the photo above, dipping my toes in that crystal water, wandering through that soft sand... yes please.
And maybe riding a horse like those below, warm salt sea air brushing past my face as we gallop along the waters edge... don't mind if I do, thank you very much.

Bear Mountain!!

Yesterday was amazing!! The weather was amazing and warm, and what else do you do on such day but get out of the city?!!
So!! Hoping on the back of an orange motorcycle, a wonderful man and I sped upstate to check out Bear Mountain! It was a perfect trip, and it was so so gorgeous out there, I can only imagine how stunning it will look when the trees are all green with summer in full swing!

I was in awe of Bear Mountain, and my eyes and soul were in relief in seeing so much open land spread out before me, the fresh air was wonderful, the sunshine a delight! (even if I did get a little sunburnt!!!)

So here are a few of my favorite photos....... Above - looking over a beautiful glistening lake, the curly tree near Bear Mountain Tower.
Below, left to right, first row - A pretty pink tree in early bloom at Bear Mountain Tower, From the top of Bear Mountain Tower - such a beautiful view!
Second row, the view from a stop point on the road, From the top of Bear Mountain Tower looking down.
Third row, another view of glistening water from a stop point on the road, On the road- taken from the bike riding down the mountain on our way home.

It's been such a wonderful weekend I wish it wasn't almost over!

This Weekend!!

Ah yes, it's that time again, where I run away from this cold snowy weather to a warm 70 degrees of Las Vegas desert heat... mm, not bad!
This Saturday morning, I shall be relaxing at the Flamingo's Garden Buffet with my wonderful Dad (after jumping the line because of his platinum card!!) And we'll chat away, and look out onto the Flamingo's in the garden as they bask in the sunlight...

Hm, not a bad way to spend a weekend I would say... in fact, I'd say, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Two weeks and counting...

I can't believe Christmas is only two weeks away now! When I was little, it couldn't come fast enough, now it comes around wayy too fast!!
This year things have unfortunately changed in my family, and for the first time, in my lifetime, we won't all be together for the holidays. You see a big fat ocean lies between my Mother, my Brother and my Sister in England, and my Father and I sit on this side. Fortunately however, at least all of us will have some family. I'm jumping over to Michigan to spend it with my Dad and his dog Rufus, and probably a whole chunk of SNOW!! I haven't been back there for two years! I can't believe how they can vanish so quickly...

But... I LOVE Christmas!!! And I adore Christmas music!!!
So, the above song is Judy Garland, singing 'Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas', which I just love. It must be one of my all time favorites, so beautiful, so classic... it makes my heart melt..

Then there's this one, Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is to keep my lonely heart cheerful...and for my Family, who could do it better than Bing Crosby? 'I'll Be Home For Christmas'... if only in my heart.

VEGAS BABY!!

The time has finally come!!! Tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn (and I mean the crack of dawn!!!!) I'll be making my way to JFK to jump on a plane for 5 1/2 hours to arrive in LAS VEGAS at about 10:30 am (LV time!).... and..... I. CAN'T. WAIT.!!!!
Seeing Dad again will be just fantastic, It's been wayyy too long as it is. It's also been wayyy too long since I got a break from NYC (even if I do love it here!)
Also, we're staying in my all time favorite hotel "Paris" with its cloud painted ceilings and faux cobble stone pathways... HaHaHa!!!

So maybe I'll get to meet Lady luck again, and even if I don't, hanging out with Dad again will be absolutely perfect, and really, I couldn't ask for anything more than that.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!!! I wish everyone a most wonderful holiday, whatever you do!!!
